December 7, 2006 holds powerful action in the sky. The upcoming Venus/ Pluto conjunction in Sagittarius that takes place simultaneously with a Saturn in Leo trine may bring intense, obsession filled moments and memorable turning points for all of us within days of its occurance.
Venus is known as a “personal planet”. She moves fast and touches on aspects of our daily lives. Each mythology from around the world has a Venus- like symbol, a Goddess who represents fertility and love. Venus is the Goddess we associate with love, charm, flirtation, personal magnetism, beauty, adornment, jewelry and clothing, gifts, self-esteem, self-love, possessions, money, social events, parties, and good times. When planets have a conversation, its like their interaction takes on a life of its own. The energy manifested creates a “mood”. Pluto is one heavy hitter. Creating massive meanings out of our romantic interactions. Due to this aspect taking place in the sign of Sagittarius, there is likely to be an expansive quality, where our romantic interactions cause us major personal growth and expand our personal philosophies and faith. We may attract a short term, extremely passionate, affair that changes us in substantial ways. If attached, sex is more passionate, meaningful, and intense. Sound fun?
If we are coming from a place of less-than-enlightenment, the results may be different. This aspect can make us want to seek revenge against a lover, thereby confronting the darker side of our love nature. We may be prone to mind-games to get sex. We may choose to have sex or consider getting pregnant to hold onto someone. We may choose power games as a form of intimate and emotional manipulation. Sex can become compulsive. We want to project power. We may attract “power objects” or possessions that represent power to us. We may overdo it at the party we go to as a way of exerting our power. Pluto is shared resources. It could be our spouse who hits a huge payoff that brings more money into our lives or helps to secure for us a position of power.

Saturn is the great karmic teacher. This is the dose of realism we have been waiting for that will negate a lot of the heavy duty energy that’s taking place this day. Mythologically, Saturn was the God of old age. What are some attributes attributed to aging?
