About     Nadiya Shah is a Consulting Astrologer, Sun Sign Columnist, and is one of the few people in the world to hold an M.A. in the Cultural Study of Cosmology and Divination, from the University of Kent, United Kingdom.       Nadiya comes from a long ancestry of healers and mystics. As a very young child she became aware that she had an  intuitive voice that was strong and life led her to foster the connection she displayed. At 14 she began as a professional Diviner and has continued studying the various aspects and practices of divination since then.      Along with learning and practicing various divination methods through family members, Nadiya has also studied aspects of intuition, energy, and divination at East-West School (1998), George Brown College (2002), Transformational Arts College (2006), and most notably, The University of Kent (2008). Nadiya has achieved Level 1 Certification with the Canadian Association of Astrological Education (CAAE). In addition to her credentials in the areas of astrology and divination, Nadiya also holds a Certificate as a Teacher of Adults from Centennial College (2007) and a B.A. in Contemporary Studies from Ryerson University (2007).      As a workshop facilitator and public speaker, Nadiya speaks regularly at events and has facilitated workshops in Toronto, Canada and the UK on topics ranging from Astrology, Divination, and Spirituality. Recent 2009 speaking engagements have been sponsored by such distinguished organizations as Humanity Unites Brilliance (HUB) Toronto and Astrology Toronto (ATI). In addition to teaching independently sponsored workshops and classes, Nadiya also teaches classes online with the Esoteric Arcanum.     As a creative soul, her work has been presented in various forms throughout North America. She is regularly interviewed by many print publications, and has been interviewed on radio by Toronto's CKLN, CIUT, 680 NEWS, and on Canadian television by YTV, CityTV, and CBC.      A published writer, her work has appeared in various independent print and online publications including Trikone, Closet Space, Nature’s Echos, Pussy Pen, Fitness Fanatik Magazine, CAAE’s New Ideas, katherinescott.com, longeviti.ca, the self published zine The Cult of Goddessnadiya, and is the astrologer for the Silver New Moon 2008 Calendar. Nadiya was the author of the monthly column “The Cosmology Chronicles” from 2006-2009 on thepaganactivist.com.  She is the author of the monthly astrology forecasts for Fitness Fanatik Magazine, EsotericForum.com and nadiyashah.com. Her video horoscopes can be seen online on many video sharing sites, including Youtube.     Nadiya has contributed to the Sign Show, a New York City based dating show inspired by astrology, who said "Nadiya is an Awesome Astrologer", and who’s viewers quickly considered her a “Sign Show favorite”. In a review of Nadiya’s contribution to Sign Show, Amber Gooding stated “I’ve seen some of Nadiya’s videos on the Sign Show and I love how she looks at the camera, like she’s talking to me. She seemed very confident with her predictions... helping us to understand that “everything will be ok”. She’s a wonderful speaker.”     In addition to being an astrologer, writer, and teacher, Nadiya is also a singer, actress, and athlete.     She is currently completing her first book.
